Our adventure begins, we had four family groups going to Grand Cayman. On our flight, we had two families, Jim and Barb Dunbar, Coleen and Dan Dice, and Kim and myself. The trip to Grand Cayman went well. The first flight crew was relaxed and made the trip a lot of fun. As we were boarding the plane, they announced that the Cayman leg of the trip had been canceled. I thought here we go again!!! They were just having fun with the people going on vacation. We got to Atlanta GA, we made our way to the flight to Cayman. The flight was delayed at the last minute, but they did make up the time getting to Cayman. We got our rental cars from Avis. Jim and Barb got a right hand drive car and we had a left hand drive, and driving on the left side of the road is a little different if you have not done it before. It was raining when we landed, so you not only was driving on the left side of the road, it was dark, and it was raining. We all made it to Compass Point with no problems!!! Yea. We got checked in and everyone was ready for bed. Our dive day was going to start at 8:00 am the next day.

Today we handed over our equipment and the staff got it to the boat and set in up. We checked in the dive shop for our trip, we were on the Ocean Hawk today. The crew was great, they took us to two great sites, the first was The Crusher and the second was Iron Shore Gardens. The first site was the deep dive and with it being the first dive for us, we when through our air fast and did not enough all that the site had to offer. The second dive when much better! We are looking forward to the next day dives.

Afternoon was a visit to the turtle farm. We learn a lot about the turtles and how Cayman is trying to protect the turtles.
